Abstract :
The energy consumption is always an important topic for research on routing protocols of wireless sensor network. In traditional LEACH the number of cluster heads is random and it is not conducive to energy conservation. On the basis of analyzing traditional and improved LEACH routing protocol, a determined number of cluster heads selection mechanism is proposed and the problem of uneven cluster heads distribution is solved. The improved algorithm was simulated in NS2. The results of simulation show that the improved algorithm can reduce network energy consumption and prolong network lifetime.
