  • Abstract
An applicability of thermoelectric method for thermostatic control in pickup refrigerated trucks discussed in the paper. The thermoelectric system has reversive properties; therefore it can maintain the constant temperature +(5±1)°C all-the-year-round at the environment temperature (-40 +30)°C. The temperature balance in the thermostatic container of the pickup refrigerated truck VIS-2345 (VAZ2105) was studied. A possible technical solution of the thermoelectric cooling-heating unit for the pickup with the cooling power up to 240 W and the heating power about 285 W suggested. The average electric power supply for thermostatic control of the container during all-the-year-round is equal or even less than the power supply for a vapor-compression refrigerator with an additional electric heater.
