Abstract
In this paper, a state feedback control of single phase shunt active power filter is discussed. When source is weak or non-stiff, the voltage at point of common coupling is distorted as a result of compensation. This happens due to passing of voltage source inverter switching frequency components to the supply in presence of the finite source impedance. A feedback control of the active power filter is proposed to solve this problem. Detailed design of the state feedback controller is given and simulation results are presented. The method is validated through experimental study conducted in the laboratory.
