Abstract :
The AN/FMC-2(A) -- a minicomputer-based, interactive-graphics display system that is designed to acquire, process, and display both conventional environmental data and products and environmental satellite data -- is described. The system, a hybrid consisting of a microprocessor-based communications front-end and a minicomputer-based display device, supports acquisition and cataloging of data and products in realtime with simultaneous use of the system for display and manipulation of previously acquired products. The systems´ applications functions are illustrated.
