    A steadily improving GaAs MESFET technology warrants investigation into opportunities for high-speed analog signal processing, in particular analog-digital (A/D) converter design. With the knowledge developed for silicon A/D converter design, it is possible to devise strategies for GaAs. Pipelined architectures are a likely candidate for successful implementation in GaAs
