Abstract
Mode parabolic equations (MPEs) developed in [1] provide a convenient tool for the modeling of waves propagation in 3D-varying environments. Application of the mode parabolic equations to the solution of the problems arising in shallow-water acoustics is discussed. The numerical method for the solution of the mode parabolic equations is developed. Its efficiency and accuracy is illustrated on a benchmark problem.
