Abstract :
Summary form only given. In this paper, fibre cable measurements were performed with a commercial test set that uses the interferometric method. The test set uses an LED with a center wavelength near 1550 nm and a spectral width of 70 nm. The PMD measured is the average differential group delay (DGD) over the 70-nm wavelength range.
