  • Abstract
    In Wireless Sensor Networks, recent studies reveal using mobile sink as a solution for collecting the data has been shown to be an effective way of improving sensor network performances. In this paper, Firstly, we analyze the data collection algorithms based on hierarchical or cluster and the Mobile Element Scheduling(MES) algorithms. Subsequently, a new energy and delay aware hybrid data collection algorithm(HDCA) is presented, which computes the path of mobile sink based on cluster head, not based on every sensor directly. Lastly, a simulation to analyze and evaluate its performances is implemented. The result shows that the proposed algorithm not only can enhance Quality of Service(QoS) performances such as delay and data loss rate, but also has excellence flexibility to networks topology and size.
