Abstract
There has been recent political pressure to develop and incorporate a higher percentage of renewable generation resources in today´s demanding bulk power system. A result of this push for renewable energy is the advancement of wind generation and wind farm control technology. We are seeing greater numbers of large wind farms being built on land and off shore around the world. This work addresses some of the challenges (with proposed solutions) common throughout the wind generation industry today.
