Abstract
The Rutherford Appleton Laboratory is engaged in a programme of measurement of propagation beyond the horizon at frequencies of 1.3, 11 and 28 GHz, on a number of paths from France to the UK. This work is carried out in collaboration with the Centre National d´Etudes des Telecommunications (CNET) Paris, the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA), and Portsmouth Polytechnic. The propagation paths are illustrated, and associated antenna effects are discussed; measurements for the year beginning August 1987 are given
