Abstract :
The fast packet switching technique is proposed in order to integrate switching networks related to different classes of information. A suitable architecture for the implementation of the fast packet switch is selected on the basis of various comparison criteria, and the design and implementation of the switch fabric is discussed in detail. The interfacing of this switch to the existing network is also discussed
