Abstract
Two control approaches for three-phase shunt active power filter are investigated and evaluated. Constant-frequency sliding-mode and resonant current controllers are designed. Suitable criterions based on total harmonic distortion, the distribution of current harmonics in different frequency range and the time response of the system under transient conditions are adopted and used to compare the performances of both controllers.
