Abstract :
The main characteristics of TROPICO RA software are outlined. The TROPICO RA system design methodology concepts are introduced together with their application to the project. Next a description is given of the information model, which links system design to physical design, allowing the implementation phase to be carried out. The TROPICO RA software is based on the implementation block (IB) concept and on the intensive use of software implementation standard elements (SISE) as component parts. The main characteristics of IB and SISE are presented together with the environment within which they work. TROPICO RA (SPC switching system) module types are also presented with the software they contain
