Abstract :
An analysis is conducted of the reliability of links in a ring network. Back-up links have recently been used to enhance the reliability and throughput. In a previous study, the authors gave an optimal back-up link assignment to improve the reliability. In this study, the authors use the rings with back-up links to model single loop rings
