Abstract
The authors depict the interworking required between E&M and integrated services digital network (ISDN) protocol and between E&M and Signaling System 7 (SS7). Possible scenarios are given for interworking between ISDN access and SS7 protocols to extend ISDN supplementary services interswitch, in particular, those services that require ISDN user part (ISDN UP). The examples chosen to depict interworking are call forwarding, user-to-user signaling, and call waiting
