  • Abstract
Photonic-bandgap fibers (PBGF) are suitable for Raman-free propagation due to their intrinsic spectral filtering properties. The use of an all-solid PBGF for Raman filtering has been demonstrated. In this paper, we focus on the design of all-solid PBGFs for Raman-free propagation, and evaluate their performance by using an efficient spectrally-resolved model which has recently been developed.
