Abstract :
Active power filters play important role in compensation of harmonics. When the load currents or source voltages are unbalanced, the system currents would be unbalanced, too. This paper presents modeling of hybrid active power filter that compensates both the harmonics and reactive currents. This system is simulated with MATLAB/SIMULINK for a typical unbalanced nonlinear load. The results show that the proposed model has a good performance in compensation of harmonics and reactive currents.
