Abstract
This paper presents the modeling and implementation of a filtering proposal based on arrangement of zigzag windings in a three-leg core-type destined the elimination or reduction of zero sequence harmonic components. The computational simulations allow the investigation of the filter efficiency under normal and unbalanced supplying voltages. A prototype is constructed and measurements in laboratory are carried through to obtain its electric and magnetic characteristics. The adequate connection of the device in electric installations where there are large harmonic currents allows showing the efficiency of the filtering proposal.
