Abstract
Currently there exists no single model to represent a database and it ancillary systems. One has to resort to a number of conceptual models to depict the system based on requirements. Through this paper we present the alternate ways of viewing and visualizing a database in its entirety making use of the thickness of the screen as an additional dimension. One of our prime motives is also to inculcate an additional methodology for imbibing database knowledge among beginners. The alternate view of the conceptual model described in this paper can also be used to find relationships, distinguishing features and other points of interest among database tables, views, warehouses, schema and transformations.
