Abstract :
The author discusses the growth potential in the field of parallel processing. The general requirements for a parallel language are listed, and a description is presented of the features provided by CHILL (CCITT high level language) for concurrency. Enhancements which will widen its suitability for various general requirements of a parallel language and which cover a variety of applications are suggested
