Abstract
The work of calculating the convergence and energy dissipation of upstream and downstream water through the sluice is heavy, whereas the VB language programming which has the advantage of computer technology can solve this problem. This program can solve the water calculation of the plane gates that is flat bottom with wide top weir, including drawing the relation curve of downstream water level and water flow, and calculating the design of energy dissipation and erosion control. Especially the size of stilling basin that is calculated with pilot calculation will receive better effect with this program.
