Abstract :
Summary form only given. This tutorial will focus on the electronics circuits used in ultra high speed TDM lightwave systems. Modulator drivers, laser drivers, preamplifiers, gain control amplifiers, clock recovery circuits, multiplexers, demultiplexers, along with packaging issues will be featured. Examples of these circuits implemented with high speed AlGaAs-GaAs HBTs, and HEMTs will be discussed.
