An introduction to EDIF views, structures and syntax

The main features of EDIF are outlined. The author concentrates on the structure of an EDIF description and the way the different views can be utilised. However, a brief introduction to the EDIF syntax is given to provide an understanding of the notation. He also describes the way in which the three levels of EDIF differ and concludes with a small worked example
