Abstract
A processing approach based on thresholding is provided for acoustic signal of bombs/shells and is used in positioning system of bombs/shells explosion. It applies three steps Low-pass filtering, moving average and Normalization to process digital signal and takes strategies of the maximal wave crest, the earliest wave crests and joint detection with sensors for time extracting. Acoustic signal was analyzed and processed in positioning system to extract the features and explosion time of the acoustic signal. The precision of the time directly affects the accuracy of the calculated point of impact. The experimental results show that the method is practical in point of impact detecting system and satisfies the military training.
