Abstract
By combining the magnetic field integral equation (MFIE) and the modal expansion technique, a three-dimensional vector integral formulation suitable for calculating conducting waveguide transitions of arbitrary shape (including horn antennas and radar cross section problems) is obtained. A numerical solution is obtained by using the method of moments and the conjugate gradient technique. The correctness of the method and of its numerical implementation is confirmed numerically. Good accuracy and convergence are achieved.<>
