Abstract :
A method is presented for the evaluation of the resonant frequencies of a circular microstrip patch antenna in the presence of a centered reactive load. The computed results reveal that the TM010 mode, which is absent when reactive load is removed, is generated in the presence of a reactive load. The reactive load can be used to produce a dual band element with the desired frequency separation between the bands and can also be used to control the operating frequency
