Abstract :
For a class of descriptor systems, this paper studies the reliable dynamic output-feedback control of linear systems based on either component fault, that is, either sensor or actuator faults. The resulting control systems are reliable in that they provide guaranteed asymptotic stability and H∞ performance when all control components is operational, as well as when either sensor or actuator faults occur. A given H∞ performance bound in failure cases is guaranteed and the H∞ performance in the nominal case is optimized. A numerical example is also given to illustrate the design procedures and their effectiveness.
