Abstract
A new design method for linear shift-variant (LSV) digital filters using interpolation of the filter coefficients is described. Two numerical examples are included to illustrate that the proposed method is computationally efficient. Based upon the large number of LSV digital filters designed by the authors, it is concluded that for many such filters, the normalized mean squared error (NMSE) is less than 1% when 2⩽M⩽6
