Wideband measurement of multipath at 1.2 GHz in the London area

It is well known that mobile reception of wide-band digital transmissions can be impaired by both excessive shadowing losses and multipath propagation. Whereas advanced digital broadcast systems are being designed which are resistant to multipath effects, the optimization of such systems is dependent upon knowledge of such propagation parameters as delay spread and correlation bandwidth.
