Abstract :
Assembly information model is the basis of virtual assembly. Currently, the process of assembly modeling mainly focuses on issues specifically, thus the model is lack of extensibility and integrality. Based on the Multi-views modeling technology, a new multi-views assembly model is proposed to support various fields of virtual assembly applications to solve this problem. This model consists of a basic information model and several different view models of applications in different areas- Assembly Process Planning, Assembly Resource usage, Virtual reality and Management. XML is used to describe and store the model and the efficiency and effect of virtual assembly is improved.
