Abstract :
A low cost microprocessor based multiple Holter tape processing system capable of monitoring four spools simultaneously at a speed up to 20 times real time is described. Besides the normal Holter Scanner feature of continuously displaying the ECG (electrocardiogram) waveforms at a faster rate than real time, it can accurately detect any possible abnormality and highlight it. The system can be used reliably in hospitals, health centers, nursing homes, clinics and even in homes for the monitoring and diagnosis of multiple Holter tapes
