The co-ordination of protection and auto-reclose on 11 kV distribution networks

The authors describe the co-ordination between the main line auto-reclosing circuit breaker and the fuse protection of a spur of an 11 kV distribution network. The relay has an instantaneous overcurrent set at 300 A, an instantaneous earth fault set at 120 A and an overall fault clearance time of 0.1 seconds
