Abstract
Technology and new engineering solutions are driven by marketing forces to provide network users with fast and reliable access to Internet on-line resources worldwide. The Telecommunications industry in last decade went through the dramatic changes motivated by mobility, wireless technologies and miniaturization. The continuous increase in the complexity and the heterogeneity in Telecommunications infrastructures require reliable performance measurements and analysis. This article presents a case study of applying cost bottleneck analysis while utilizing the existing Staffordshire University Network. The paper offers a cost effective approach to traffic bottleneck analysis that could he easily adapted to any campus or business network in the world.
