Abstract :
Evaluation of teaching is one of the important items of the internal quality assurance system in many higher institutions in China. This paper aims to find a better method to make evaluation on teaching accurate as much as possible. It then provides a grey evaluation model of estimating the indicator system of teaching quality on the basis of the related reference, in which an evaluation methodology based on combination of grey evaluation method and group-decision AHP method (grey-AHP) for classifying grey clusters, calculating weights, creating an evaluation matrix and using comprehensive coefficient are presented. This model provides a strong analysis tool for product development decisions. The result shows that grey evaluation which combines advantages of the qualitative and quantitative methods can be applied to evaluate teaching quality conveniently and scientifically. Meanwhile the evaluation results can help practitioners judge the necessity to improve the teaching quality and determine which dimension or attribute is the most needed direction to improve.
