Abstract :
Summary form only given. CDOT´s (Centre for Development of Telematics) digital switching system is designed to meet wide ranging technology, a variety of applications and different manufacturing capacities, with a range of approaches to investment and manufacturing. The system architecture provides high reliability, modularity, fault tolerance, flexibility and expandability. The system meets CCITT standards, and can withstand stringent environmental conditions. The manufacturing of CDOT´s products is based on a simple assembly line principle. Simplicity has been the focal point in the production philosophy. The manufacturing philosophy can be adopted to different investment proposals, different lines of products and their product mix. A factory automation system based on an IBM PC network has been developed for integrating purchasing, material management, production, shop floor control, marketing and sales, financial management, etc
