Abstract :
This paper proposes a signal interpolation algorithm for optical raindrop counting. In general, the output signal of photoelectric detection circuit while a raindrop falling through a laser sheet is square wave with corresponding amplitude attenuation. The proposed method transform it into a direct signal with amplitude attenuation by a signal interpolation algorithm, the algorithm is based on model prediction. The new signal generated by the algorithm is efficient for raindrop diameter and falling speed calculation.
