Abstract
Nowadays, modern manufacturing enterprises not only need to ensure the variety of products, but also need to strive for the lowest cost and the ability to quick respond to uncertain market. Hence, the enterprises prefer to lean supply chain, agile supply chain and leagile (Lean and agile, leagile) supply chain. These kinds of supply chains have some uncertainties on the supply, production, assembly, sales and other aspects, and they are complex, nonlinear and dynamics systems. This paper first adopted the leagile supply chain, and compared the main characteristics of lean supply chain, agile supply chain and leagile supply chain. And then, this paper summarized the main advantages of leagile supply chain, and these advantages can improve the efficiency of supply chain, and weaken the "bullwhip effect" effectively. At last, according to need of manufacturing enterprises, this paper based on the main characteristics gave application of leagile supply chain in manufacturing industry. This paper will lay a theoretical foundation for the further research on supply chain.
