Abstract
A description is given of how reflections can be analyzed for the determination of 3-D surface orientations. The analysis is carried out for a simple situation involving a single visible polygon and its reflection. The problem has a single degree of freedom and is underconstrained. Hence, some a priori information is needed to determine the exact surface gradients
