Seminar was one of the most important means to facilitate undergraduate teaching and improve the students´ synthetical capability. In this paper, the teaching effects of seminar were investigated in the teaching specialized courses of biologic and chemical major. According to discuss the status, role, form, process of seminar, the important complementary role of seminar was researched in the teaching specialized courses of biologic and chemical major, especially, the period of specialized courses less than before. The results showed that, owing to the seminar, the professional knowledge was understand deeply, practical ability was improved, team working ability was improved, the presentation skills were cultivated and the teaching fund was saved. But during of the implementation process of seminar, the teachers´ direction should be strengthen effectively, the seminar density should be control strictly, the understanding of students should be improve and the quality of manuscript and discussion should be enhanced. After implementation of seminar, the students´ professional skills, presentation skills, engineering consciousness, practical ability were increased substantially. The student can adapt the social demanding sooner and better.
