Abstract :
This paper elaborates a theoretical framework that relates relational magnitude, financial performance and potential competence together. We argue that relational magnitude plays a prominent role in financial performance and potential competence acquisition. Using survey data from a sample of 194 firms from mainland China, we demonstrate that Relationship magnitude has a positive impact on financial performance and potential competence. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.
