Title :
Vodafone´s MCN coverage prediction
Author_Institution :
Vodafone Ltd., Newbury, UK
Abstract :
Vodafone developed a coverage area prediction system for planning an MCN service. The base station antennas are slightly above the median clutter height, where the main propagation path is over buildings not round them. By generally held terminology, this is not a `micro-cellular´ more a `milli-cellular´ network. The system is integrated into a more general prediction package called PACE2 (Propagation And Coverage Estimation, Version 2) and in turn it is integrated into a system called VGIS (Vodafone Geographical Information System)
