Abstract

In this paper, we analyzed the dynamic mechanism of proliferation of industrial cluster risks, and the relationship between the focal firm and the proliferation mechanism. We found that the multi-layer network structure of the cluster was damaged gradually and the degree of cluster efficiency was reduced as well by the failure of focal firm of the cluster. The density of the ego network of firms within the accessible range of the focal firm decreased significantly after the failure of the focal firm. We then tested the hypotheses by using a simulation model with the help of the software Netlogo.
