Abstract
The authors outline a mathematical modelling strategy (using FEM) for behavioural prediction of 1-3 connectivity composite piezoelectric transducers in air coupled and other applications. A dual strategy is employed embracing the microstructure of the composite device, followed by simulation of the macro system characteristics
