Abstract :
The resolution performance of Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm decreases under non ideal scenario like low SNR, small number of snapshots, or incident waves from close angles. In order to solve this problem, a new method which takes use of the full information in the vectors and eigenvalues of the array correlation matrix is proposed. The key idea is constructing the spatial spectrum function by both noise and signal subspace. Seeking the local maxima of the function, the direction of arrivals (DOAs) could be got. Computer simulations further indicate that the new algorithm dramatically outperforms to MUSIC, particularly in the context of low SNR and small measurement length.
