Abstract
From our exploratory cases study, this research has attempted to explain how local puppet show troupes can develop sustainable competitiveness through a competitiveness virtuous circle. This paper indicates that puppet show troupes apply advanced technology to innovate beyond traditional cultural content and substantially meet market demand, aiding the organization´s survival, sustaining traditional culture, and finally making the most of the synergies between cultural production innovations. The case investigations also help us understand the reasons why the case company should innovate continuously and explain the large number of new ideas and innovations generated in the last two decades.
