Abstract :
In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller is proposed for electrode control problems of the arc furnace electrode regulator system, and the detailed design procedure of the fuzzy sliding mode control system is presented. The equivalent control of sliding mode control is approximated by the adaptive fuzzy control, in order to make the equivalent controller independent of the object´s accurate mathematic model. To reject disturbance and reduce chattering, a fuzzy system is designed to tune the control gains. The results of simulation show that the proposed algorithm of control possesses strong dynamic response, stable control accuracy and robust to structure parameter uncertainties and external disturbance.
