Abstract :
The main idea of this paper is power loss evaluation of semiconductor devices in a zero voltage switching (ZVS) Phase-Shift Full Bridge (PSFB) converter. MOSFET power loss analysis is one of the basic steps for the PSFB reliability assessment. In this paper, an accurate analytical method is proposed for power loss evaluation focusing on leading and lagging legs, considering exact current and voltage waveforms. The validity of the proposed analysis is verified through the simulations and the experimental results. To measure power loss, a prototype converter has been set up. The specifications of the proposed converter are 28.5 VDC and 1.1kW.
