Abstract :
Contactless electrical energy transmission through a large airgap is a new technology for supply to electrical vehicles and other movable applications. In this paper, magnetic equivalent circuit and analytical models are developed and evaluated by an experimental setup. Compensating capacitors in primary and secondary sides of the systems improve overall coupling coefficient and efficiency of the system. Considering the analytical model of the system, the effect of different parameters like airgap, load current, compensation structure is analyzed to approach high overall coupling coefficient and efficiency.
