  • Abstract
This paper proposes a new annular compressed coding method, which is different from existing methods. In this method, binary codes are arranged by serial ring, which makes the 40 binary recognition sites of every counter wheel be reduced to 10 binary recognition sites. This binary annular coding method greatly simplifies the coding conversion scheme of the existing mechanical counter and can be similarly used in the octal, hexadecimal and other radix counter wheel.
