Abstract :
Praxis Systems is a UK software house which develops bespoke software for a wide range of clients in government and industry. Over the past few years Praxis has used object-oriented development, on various projects. Praxis has recently completed another object-oriented development, of a graphical user-interface to a CAD system. The paper describes the methods and tools used, presents some of the numbers collected from the two developments, and considers whether anything can be deduced from the facts available
